Welcome to Hickory Ridge Labrador Retrievers. Thank you for allowing me to give you a little more information about us. Hickory Ridge is primarily a small breeding kennel of strictly labrador retrievers.Our primary focus is to breed the highest quality labrador retrievers available in the country. We also train and campaign our own dogs as well as raise and train a few select puppies.

Our History

My name is Stephen Lyons. My wife Kathy and my two daughters Megan and Emily have been Breeding, Raising, Training and Campaigning retrievers since 1997. We believe that the strength of pedigree and genetic health are the most important factors in producing quality dogs. Proven performers and producers that exhibit lots of natural ability is what we look for in our breeding program.

This approach enables us to offer a predictable quality Labrador puppy that is as comfortable on line in competition as it is in the duck blind.

Our goal is to enhance and perpetuate some of the finest bloodlines of the Labrador Retriever in history. 

We work to achieve that illusive balance of memory, intelligence, style, courage, perseverance and tractability: Those attributes that define the essence of a Field Champion. We also attempt to produce genetically sound, good looking Labrador puppies.

We typically have 4-6 working females that we use in our breeding program. The qualities of the bloodlines have been proven in field trial and hunt test competition and companionship as well as a range of fun dog and hunting situations.
